If your business is considering hosting an external training event or seminar, then you should choose the venue very carefully according to your needs. Whether it is a conference, indoor team building event or training course, each type of event will have its own specific requirements.
For training, you need to consider how many people will be attending and what sort of equipment will be needed. There needs to be ample space for all delegates to work and they should also have a desk to make notes if appropriate.
If the training is pure theory then a projector, screen and laptop may suffice in the way of equipment, but if the training is covering some practical aspect such as repairing washing machines or photocopiers then this is likely to be a different ball game.
If heavy equipment is required then you should make sure that there is good access to the room, such as a large lift, if not on the ground floor, and wide doors.
Conferences are slightly different and a larger venue is likely to be needed. A good seating layout is required so that delegates can see the stage comfortably and a good audio system is also a must so that they can hear the speakers. If there are to be breakout sessions during the conference then smaller rooms are also needed.
