London Apartments and Vacation Rentals

If you are planning a trip to London, it pays to investigate your options. Unlike in the States, hotels, motels and inns are not your only choice. You can also choose to stay in a vacation rental.

What is a vacation rental? A vacation or holiday rental is basically just a furnished apartment, condominium or home that a private owner or agency has decided to rent out to tourists or travellers.

These accommodations have always been popular in Europe, especially in the UK, and since London apartments and real estate have been appreciating of late, more and more private owners are offering their properties as vacation rentals.

There are several reasons why visitors prefer holiday rentals to the average hotel or inn. To begin with, because a holiday rental is a real residence, it offers something that a hotel room cannot—the feeling of home. It also offers more space and the freedom to come and go as you please without having to worry about the concierge, lift operators or cleaning women.

And when you stay at a vacation rental, you’ll be able to cook your own meals, if you so choose, because you will have access to a kitchen. As most travellers and tourists know, one of the most expensive parts of any trip is eating out, and if you are planning to stay in a foreign city for more than a few days, you might quickly tire of restaurants and crave a home-cooked meal.
