Should You Purchase a Used Peugeot 206?

The Peugeot 206 is one of the most popular cars in all of Europe. It outsells both the Clio and the Citroen Saxo, which are both cheaper and have higher customer satisfaction ratings. But why? Well, many critics claim that it’s only due to aesthetics, that the Peugeot is simply a better-looking car than all the rest.

Is this true? That is what we’ll attempt to determine in this brief article. We also want to know if a used peugeot 206 is a good choice for consumers.

As you might expect, the Peugeot 206 replaced the 205 and it made several undeniable improvements. To begin with, it increased cabin space and offered power-steering for the first time. The car was available with either a petrol or diesel engine that ranged from the tiny 1.1 to the much larger 2 litre engine.

While consumers initially complained that the smaller 1.1 litre engine was underpowered, they later praised the 1.4 and 1.6 litre engines that offered more power and superior steering. Larger engine models also include electric windows, power lock doors and a split-fold rear seat all on the base model.

The big 2 litre engine model is easily one of the most powerful cars in its class with an incredible 180bhp that allows it to reach a top speed of 143mph. The Peugeot 206 is also one of the most fuel efficient cars on the market today with the diesel version capable of getting 55 miles per gallon. With this unique blend of looks, power and economy, it’s no wonder that the Peugeot 206 is one of the most popular cars in Europe.
